Building on the musical theme within the Garden Party` series, this piece uses sweeping, energetic brushwork to recreate the physical cadence of a dance. The unequal, syncopated spacing of the stems guides the eye across the canvas in a choreographic flow—as if the blooms and foliage are swaying, twirling, and dipping together in response to a shifting breeze and bright, direct sunlight.
